3D Object Update Task

The 3D Object Update Task updates a 3D object datasource. This datasource must have been created from a Database 5. The update task then searches for changes that have occurred in the database since the original task was run. New tiles are calculated for the affected areas, allowing it to run faster than a regular 3D Object Task.

The 3D Object Update Task creates a temporary datasource.

The datasource can be displayed on the map and shows the original dataset together with the updated dataset. At this point, you can decide whether the update should be applied. This will overwrite the original dataset at the relevant locations.

The changes can also be applied directly within the task itself.

Step 1

Option Description

Task Name

Name of the task.

Create or overwrite Datasource

Select whether to create a new datasource or overwrite an existing one.

Datasource Name

If an existing datasource is to be overwritten, select the source here.

Base Datasource

A base datasource must be selected to specify which dataset is to be updated. Only 3D object datasets created from a Database 5 are available for selection.

Step 2

Option Description

Start Job as soon as possible

Start the job immediately.

Start Job once at given time

Schedule job for a future time.

Repeat Job

Automatic periodic execution of the job.

Publish job result after completion

The result is published by default to the directory of the base datasource (${baseId}), which corresponds to automatically applying the update to the published datasource. To publish to a separate directory instead, the target path needs to be changed to (${uuid}).

Automatically apply update after completion

Automatically applying does not create a new datasource but overwrites the existing base datasource. This action cannot be undone! Do not select this option, if you want to preview the update first.
