Panorama Datasource
Panorama images can be integrated directly into the Publisher as a datasource if they meet the required specifications. To add them, the following settings must be configured:
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
Name |
Name of the Datasource. |
Description |
Description of the Datasource (optional). |
Bounding Box |
Describes the bounding box of the data. |
URI |
URI of the datasource. |
Camera Offset Height |
Specifies the height difference between the camera mounted on the vehicle and the terrain model. To prevent the capture points from appearing above the terrain model in VC Map, this parameter can be used to project the points onto the terrain model. A typical example value is 2.3; for larger survey vehicles the value may be higher. |
Base Level |
Defines the zoom level from which the image capture points are loaded. The base level value must lie within the defined minimum and maximum levels. |
Min. Level |
Defines up to which zoom level the capture points remain visible when zooming out. For example, if the points should be visible down to zoom level 13, the base level must be at least 15. The difference between the minimum level and the base level may not exceed 2, so that the points can still be displayed correctly at lower zoom levels (e.g. level 13). Choosing appropriate levels is also important for performance reasons. If too many points are displayed at low zoom levels, this may negatively affect the application’s performance. |
Max. Level |
Defines up to which zoom level the capture points remain visible when zooming in. |
Data Preview
The data preview allows a visual check of the configured data source before publication. It displays the data in the map window using the selected projection and within the defined extent. Users can interactively pan and zoom the map to review the display.
Changes to the data source or the extent are applied to the preview after clicking “Reload Map.”
