Datasources
This page lists the datasources that can be used in VC Publisher. Datasources are the interfaces to the data that is visualized in the VC Map. There are different types of datasources, e.g. for 3D objects, terrain, point clouds, or vector data. Each datasource has its own specific settings and requirements that must be considered during setup. Datasources can either be obtained from an external service or be the result of a conversion process (see Tasks). Once a datasource is set up, it can be used in the VC Maps of a project to visualize the corresponding data.
The page lists the available datasources in the project and allows you to add new ones.
Add Datasources
Clicking (top right) opens another window where you can select the type of datasource to add.
Search / Filter Datasources
Datasources can be filtered using the search bar. You can search by name or type of datasource. Clicking (to the right of the search bar) executes the search with the specified criteria.
List of Datasources
The datasources (either all present in the project or the result of the search) are displayed in a list containing the following information:
-
name of the datasource
-
type of the datasource
-
creation date
-
update date
-
path of the datasource.
Clicking the name of the datasource opens the detail page, where further information and settings are displayed.
The list can be sorted via the column headers. Clicking next to the header sorts the list ascending, clicking again
sorts it descending.
The display elements at the bottom of the page allow you to navigate through the list of datasources if there are more datasources than can be displayed on one page. Clicking the page number or the arrows allows you to switch to the next or previous page.
