Create Your Map Application and Set Up Modules

In this lecture, you will learn how to create a new map application (App) in the VC Publisher and how to configure its module settings. Modules are the building blocks of your app, defining how it appears and functions.

Steps Overview

  1. Open the VC Publisher and go to the home section of your project.

  2. Click on "Create New App".

  3. Provide a name and description for your app.

  4. Click "Edit App" and add new module.

  5. Access the module settings of the created module:

    • Set the module name and description.

    • Configure branding (logo, title, favicon).

    • Set the coordinate reference system (CRS).

    • Adjust the application footer (imprint, data protection).

  6. Save your app.


  • Use a clear and descriptive module name to make it easily identifiable.
    Ensure that the CRS matches your map data (e.g., EPSG:4326 for geographic data).
    Customize branding to match your organization’s identity.

Changes made to module settings are immediately visible in the app preview.
Make sure to save your settings before exiting.
