Clipping Tool
The Clipping tool of the VC Map allows you to view the interior of a 3D object. A vertical or horizontal clipping plane devides, for example, a building and hides the walls on one side of the plane.
The Clipping tool provides two different modes via the drop-down menu in the toolbar:
-
- horizontal clipping plane
-
- vertical clipping plane
Clicking on the icon activates the tool and opens the associated settings window.
Create clipping plane
A clipping plane is created by clicking on the map. Its size, position and orientation in relation to the terrain can then be freely and geometrically changed by setting the parameters listed below.
Clipping geometry can also be achieved by right-clicking in the map. Move the mouse pointer to the desired position on the map (3D) and press the right mouse button to select the desired clipping mode from the contextmenu. |
The clipping geometry created can be removed again by clicking on the clipping tool in the toolbar.
Please note that the clipping plane tool cannot be used on a layer if the split tool has been activated on the same layer. |
