The table below lists all documentation versions along with the VC Database and component versions they cover. Use this table to find the documentation version for a specific version of the VC Database or one of its components.

Documentation version
Since the VC Database and its components each have their own versions, which are updated on different cycles, this
documentation uses its own versioning scheme in the format x.y_r.

x.y: The first part of the documentation version corresponds to the major.minor version of the VC Database to which the documentation refers. Examples are5.0or5.1. -
r: The number after the underscore indicates a revision of the documentation.
The revision number is incremented when the minor or major version of any component changes, for example, when the
vcdb-tool is updated from 1.1 to 1.2 or 2.0. Changes to the patch version of the VC Database or its
components generally do not result in a new revision number. In such cases, the current revision
is adjusted to reflect the patch changes.
If necessary, the documentation indicates which content applies to which patch version. Should a patch update nevertheless require significant changes to the documentation, the revision number may also be incremented.
