Maps
In this section maps are configured. A VC Map can consist of one 2D, one 3D and one oblique map. If multiple map types are selected, the VC Map can be switched between the 2D, 3D, or oblique map.
Every configured app needs at least one map as a basis for visualization. |
Clicking on opens the selection menu, which lists the (still) available map types. The selected map type is added and the corresponding map editor is opened.
The general actions for editing components are explained here. |
The following parameters can be configured for the respective map:
2D map
General settings
Option | Description |
---|---|
Name (ID) |
Unique name (identifier) of the integrated map. |
3D map
General settings
Option | Description |
---|---|
Name (ID) |
Unique name (identifier) of the integrated map. |
Settings 3D map
Option | Description |
---|---|
Use original Cesium Shader |
Select to use the original Cesium shader. The VC Map uses a custom shader by default, which makes colors slightly clearer and the night darker. |
Enable lightning |
Enable lightning for the globe with the light source of the scene. |
Light intensity |
The intensity controls the strength of the light in the scene. Intensity has a minimum value of 0.0 and no maximum value. |
Enforce WebGL anti-aliasing |
Enforces WebGL anti-aliasing. |
Globe Color |
Color of the globe if no base layer is active or the base layer contains transparencies. |
Limit camera (height/distance) |
If selected, limits the camera height/distance according to the selected mode. |
Camera limiter mode |
Height: The camera is limited with an absolute height above ground. |
Height (if Camera Limiter Mode: Height active) |
The minimum camera height in meters. |
Distance (if Camera limiter mode: Distance active) |
The minimum camera distance in meters. |
Level (if Camera limiter mode: Distance active) |
The level at which the terrain should be queried. Higher levels are more precise, but lead to increased traffic and performance loss. |
Terrain URL (if Camera limiter mode: distance active) |
URL of the querried terrain. |
Oblique aerial map
General Settings
Option | Description |
---|---|
Name (ID) |
Unique name (identifier) of the included map. |
Settings oblique aerial map.
Option | Description |
---|---|
Switch at end of movement |
Defines when a new oblique aerial image is loaded. By enabling this setting, a new oblique aerial image will only be loaded after a map movement has ended. By default, images are loaded directly with the map movement. |
Switch at image boundaries |
Define whether to switch to a new image at image borders. |
Switch threshold |
Specifies the threshold at which to jump to the next oblique image. The value range is between 0 and 1. At a value of 0, the image is switched if the map center is outside the image. At 0.5, the image change is already initiated when the map center is in the outer half of the image. The image is always changed when the threshold value is 1. |
Apply applies the changes made to the displayed app. See also Editing and saving. |
